It is with great honour that I have been tasked with the role of President of the Magazine Publisher’s Association of Singapore, and I thank you all for that vote of confidence.

I believe Singapore is on the verge of yet another transformation and the next few years will represent one of the most exciting seasons as it progresses towards being a truly global city.

FIPP is now taking bookings for its FIPP Digital Publishing Certificate in Sydney, Australia, from 9-13 August 2010.

MDA would like to invite eligible publishers/media owners/companies to submit proposals for publishing programmes with strong cross-media cross-platform elements, aimed at international distribution and readership.

“SOPA Awards for Editorial Excellence” is held to encourage outstanding editorial achievements in newspapers, magazines, newswires and websites region-wide.

The 4th annual Asian Publishing Convention 2010, will be held on 8-9 July.

The Magazine Publishers Association Singapore recently organised the MPAS Online Publishing Workshop 2010, supported by the Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA) and the Mequoda Group. The workshop was organised with the purpose of equipping publishers with the know-how to monetize their online websites and platforms.
