August Man Steps
into Malaysia
Less than two
years after its launch in Singapore by CR MEDIA Pte Ltd, men's title
August Man, has been licensed for the Malaysia market.
Under the terms of the deal between CR Media and Malaysian consumer
lifestyle publisher E-Media Sdn Bhd, August Man will debut in Malaysia
by fourth quarter of 2008.
Conceptualized and launched in Singapore in September '06, August Man's
progress has been driven by factors as a strong commitment to quality
editorial and a vigorous advertising and promotional campaign.
August Man's sophisticated, sharp-witted and iconoclastic presentation
of lifestyle features, fashion, travel and commentary has drawn a
significant paid subscription list and a thriving advertiser base. As
well, it was lauded by one major Asian advertising trade magazine for
having one of the top 10 men's magazine covers in Singapore for 2007.
"August Man's launch into Malaysia is an exciting development because
the luxury market in Malaysia is growing significantly and the niche for
a men's magazine aimed at a demographic of educated, accomplished and
discerning men in the country, has been neglected," says CR Media CEO &
